Overview:This case study investigates how students discover opportunities, build relationships, navigate resources, and develop creative identity within the ATLAS Institute. The project explores the pathways students take throughout their academic experience and identifies barriers that limit visibility, participation, and connection.
Problem:Students often discover opportunities, faculty, labs, projects, and communities through chance encounters rather than intentional systems. As information becomes distributed across websites, courses, emails, events, and personal networks, it becomes increasingly difficult to understand what opportunities exist and how to engage with them.
Expected Outcome:Research findings and design recommendations focused on improving discovery, participation, and community connectivity within ATLAS.
Current Activities:• Interviews• Surveys• Pathway Mapping• Systems Analysis• Stakeholder Research
